What is the difference between single-sided and double-sided?

How do I change the poster?

Our magnetic front-open system makes poster changes effortless. Simply pull the magnetic front panel open, slide in your new poster, and snap it closed. No tools required — takes under 60 seconds. The anti-glare lens protects your poster from dust and fingerprints.

What type of poster/print do I need?

For best results, use backlit film (translucent poster material designed for lightboxes). Standard paper posters will also work but won't achieve the same vibrant illuminated effect. We can supply custom backlit prints — contact us for pricing. Poster size is standard A0: 841 x 1189mm.

Can I mount the single-sided in landscape orientation?

Yes — both single-sided and double-sided models can be mounted in portrait or landscape orientation. The LED illumination is edge-lit from all four sides, so brightness is identical regardless of orientation.

How much power do they consume?

Accepted Answer

The A0 single-sided uses just 48W and the double-sided uses 40.5W — roughly the same as a standard light bulb. LEDs use up to 80% less energy than traditional fluorescent lightboxes. At typical Australian electricity rates, running an A0 lightbox 12 hours a day costs approximately $25–$35 per year.

Can I get custom sizes?

These slimline lightboxes are available in a fixed A0 size only (841 x 1189mm poster area). For custom sizes, contact us for a quote — we can manufacture lightboxes to any dimension.

How long do the LEDs last?

Accepted Answer

The LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours of continuous use — that's over 11 years running 24/7, or 22+ years at 12 hours per day. Unlike fluorescent tubes, LEDs don't flicker, buzz, or yellow over time.

What's included in the box?

Single-sided: Lightbox unit, power adapter (100–240V), 4.5m power cord, wall-mounting screws and anchors, user manual. Double-sided: Lightbox unit, power adapter, power cord, 2m hanging wire with ceiling fixings, user manual. Both arrive fully assembled — plug in and go.

Can the lightbox be wall-mounted or only ceiling-hung?

Single-sided lightboxes are wall-mounted by default — mounting screws and anchors are included. Double-sided lightboxes are ceiling-suspended by default with 2m hanging wire included; however, double-sided units can also be wall-mounted off a perpendicular wall using optional perpendicular brackets (ask at order). For premium retail and hospitality installs, we supply floor-standing and pylon-mount options on request.

Do you offer custom backlit film printing with the lightbox?

Yes. We print custom backlit PET film at A0 (841 x 1189mm) in our own factory, UV-stable for long indoor display life. Supply print-ready PDF at actual size, CMYK, 150+ DPI. For critical colour work (product launches, rebrands), a printed proof on actual backlit film can be supplied for sign-off before the full run prints.

Can I match a specific Pantone or brand colour on the poster?

Yes. Our UV press achieves 95%+ Pantone coverage on backlit film. Supply your Pantone number or brand-guide reference and we colour-match during pre-press. Remember backlit film shifts colour slightly when illuminated — we account for this shift so the ON appearance matches your approved OFF-state proof.

Do you offer installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes for Sydney metro at $120/hr per installer (2-installer minimum for multi-unit installs or above-head / ceiling work, 3-hour call-out minimum). Most single-sided wall-mount units are easy DIY with the supplied screws and anchors. Double-sided ceiling-hung and hospitality-venue installs benefit from professional install to ensure ceiling-anchor load-rating matches venue requirements.

What warranty do you offer on slimline lightboxes?

All lightboxes come with a 2-year warranty on LED modules and power supplies, plus 12 months on frame and magnetic poster-lock mechanism. LED lifespan is 100,000 hours rated use. Power supply failures are covered free for 2 years, and we stock replacement modules in Sydney so swap-outs ship same-day when needed.
