Product details

Identify the installed emergency shower

Install the sign at, above or immediately beside the shower identified by the site's emergency arrangements. Keep the white shower-over-person pictogram and exact EMERGENCY SHOWER legend visible on the normal approach without implying that the printed panel is the equipment.

Keep access and activation hardware clear

Do not place the sign over the shower, pull handle, inspection tag, piping, drain, operating instructions or other emergency equipment. Recheck visibility and access after stock, partitions, machinery, temporary works or work-area layouts change.

Select the material and portrait size

Polypropylene is the default rigid option. Vinyl suits a prepared smooth surface, Corflute suits temporary placement, and Colorbond steel provides a stronger mechanically fixed face. Choose 225 × 300 mm for close-range identification, 300 × 450 mm for greater prominence, or 450 × 600 mm for a larger or visually busy area.

Use separate route and response controls

The artwork has no directional arrow and does not provide exposure-response instructions. Use separately verified directional signs at real decision points, and retain the equipment selection, testing, flushing, maintenance, procedures, training and first-aid arrangements required by the site's risk assessment.

Check the sign format before ordering

This is a printed equipment-location sign only. It does not supply or validate an emergency shower, establish equipment performance or access, provide operating instructions, perform inspection or testing, or certify the installation. Confirm the site-specific equipment, marking, position and response controls with the responsible competent people and applicable regulator.

  • Safe Work Australia – First aid in the workplaceThe model Code covers workplace first-aid arrangements and notes immediate access to emergency-shower equipment where identified risks warrant it. A printed shower-location sign does not select, supply, install, test or maintain that equipment and does not replace the workplace's response procedures and training. Before ordering

  • Confirm that the exact EMERGENCY SHOWER pictogram and legend match the installed equipment and site terminology.
  • Identify every normal approach and any decision point where separate directional signage may be needed.
  • Check the real viewing distance, lighting and surrounding visual clutter when selecting the portrait size.
  • Match the material and fixing method to the surface without obstructing the shower, activation hardware, inspection tag, piping, drain or instructions.
  • Have the responsible competent people confirm equipment suitability, access, inspection, flushing, maintenance, procedures and training separately.

This is general product information, not legal or engineering advice. A safety sign is one part of a workplace control system; confirm the site and jurisdictional requirements before ordering.
