One way vision film — also sold as perforated window film or see-through window graphics — is a self-adhesive vinyl punched with a regular pattern of small holes. Ours is 60/40: sixty percent printable surface, forty percent open. Printed full colour and applied to the outside face of your glass, it reads as a solid graphic to anyone on the footpath, while from inside your staff and customers look straight through it.
It is the standard answer to a very common shopfront problem: you want the whole window working as advertising, but you do not want to block the glass. A solid printed graphic does the first and kills the second. Frosted film gives privacy but carries no message. Perforated film is the one product that does both at once.
Retail shopfronts running seasonal campaigns, cafes and restaurants advertising menus without shutting out the street, gyms and studios screening the floor from passers-by, medical suites needing patient privacy at eye level, car dealerships covering large glazed frontages, and office towers running brand or wayfinding graphics across ground-floor glass.
The effect is driven by light. It works because the outside is brighter than the inside. After dark, once your interior lights are on, that reverses — the graphic washes out from the street and the interior becomes more visible. Every perforated film on the market behaves this way. If you need privacy at night as well, use frosted film or a solid graphic instead, and we will tell you so rather than sell you the wrong product.
Perforated film has forty percent of its surface open to the weather. Without an optically clear over-laminate, dirt and water sit in the holes, the face gets hard to clean, and the print fades faster. The laminate seals the perforations, lets the glass be washed down normally, and roughly doubles the outdoor service life. It is the largest single line in your quote, which is exactly why we make it a choice rather than bundling it — but for any exterior street frontage we recommend it.
