Where Foam PVC Signage Works Best
Foam PVC panels are the go-to choice for indoor point-of-sale displays, exhibition graphics, office signage, menu boards, directional signs, and retail promotions. The lightweight material makes them easy to mount on walls, hang from ceilings, or display on easels and stands.

Foam PVC (also known as Foamex, Sintra, or expanded PVC) is a lightweight, rigid sheet material made from closed-cell PVC foam. It has a smooth, matte white surface that produces excellent print results. It’s one of the most popular substrates for indoor signage, point-of-sale displays, and exhibition graphics due to its clean finish and affordability.
3mm is ideal for lightweight wall signs, POS displays, and temporary signage. 5mm provides more rigidity and is great for freestanding displays and exhibition panels. 10mm offers substantial rigidity suitable for larger panels and semi-permanent installations. 20mm creates a premium, dimensional look and is self-supporting for display stands and architectural features.
Foam PVC is primarily designed for indoor use. While the material itself is waterproof and won’t rot or warp from moisture, prolonged UV exposure will cause the print to fade faster than on materials like ACM. For short-term outdoor use (events, pop-up displays) it works well. For permanent outdoor signage, we recommend ACM or aluminium panels instead.
Our maximum single panel size is 2440mm x 1220mm (a full foam PVC sheet). The minimum size is 100mm x 100mm. For larger installations, we can produce multi-panel arrangements. CNC routing ensures precise, clean cuts at any size within these limits.
Indoors, Foam PVC signs last 5–10+ years with minimal maintenance. The material is resistant to moisture, chemicals, and won’t yellow over time. For outdoor use, expect 1–2 years depending on UV exposure. The print itself is UV-cured and scratch-resistant.
We accept PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, PSD, TIFF, and high-resolution JPEG/PNG files. For best results, supply vector artwork at actual size with 3mm bleed. If you need design help, select one of our design packages in the calculator above.
Yes! Double-sided printing is available for an additional surcharge. This is ideal for hanging signs, window displays, or any panel viewed from both sides. Both sides receive the same high-quality UV direct print.
Foam PVC is the most affordable of the three and is the lightest, making it easy to mount and handle. ACM (aluminium composite) is more durable and weather-resistant, ideal for permanent outdoor signs. Acrylic offers a premium glass-like appearance. Choose Foam PVC for cost-effective indoor signage, ACM for outdoor durability, and acrylic for high-end visual impact.
Yes — 10mm and 20mm Foam PVC is rigid enough to stand on its own for trade show displays, retail pop-ups, exhibition panels, and floor signage. For larger freestanding panels or long-term use, we recommend routing interior support slots or adding wooden battens. The 20mm thickness is particularly good for dimensional architectural features.
Standard production is 5 business days from artwork approval to dispatch. Next-day and same-day rush options available at checkout for event deadlines, retail launches, and last-minute display refreshes. Delivery time is additional on top of production.
Yes. Sydney metro via Go Logistics (often same-day or next-day). Interstate via Transdirect with tracking. Foam PVC is lightweight so freight is economical even for interstate bulk orders. Delivered Australia-wide.
Yes. Our UV flatbed press achieves 95%+ Pantone coverage on Foam PVC. Supply your Pantone number or brand-guide reference and we colour-match during pre-press. Because Foam PVC has a bright matte-white base, Pantone colours reproduce closer to their intended swatch than on darker or textured substrates.
Yes. CNC routing on our CNC router bed handles any vector outline — letters, logos, die-cut shapes, shaped displays. For retail POS and exhibition signage, contour-cut Foam PVC is popular because it creates a distinctive visual outline without the heavier weight of acrylic alternatives. Supply cut paths in your artwork file or we can draw them for you.
Yes for Sydney metro at $120/hr per installer (2-installer minimum for above-head or continuous runs above 3m, 3-hour call-out minimum). Foam PVC is lightweight so most indoor installs are straightforward. For retail fitouts, exhibition stand builds, and multi-store POS rollouts, we offer fixed-price install quotes for multi-site work. Interstate installs via our vetted contractor network.
12-month manufacturer warranty covering print fade, delamination, and manufacturing defects when used as intended. Indoor Foam PVC reliably lasts 5-10+ years. For outdoor applications, expect 1-2 years depending on direct UV exposure — outdoor-grade lamination extends this by 6-12 months for a small upcharge.
