We UV direct print your design onto the SIGN WHITE surface using our high-resolution flatbed printer, then every panel is precision cut using our fiber laser for clean, burr-free edges. Panels can be cut to any size from 100mm x 100mm up to a full sheet at 2400mm x 1200mm.

SIGN WHITE is a high-gloss, mar-resistant, prepainted steel panel manufactured by BlueScope specifically for the signwriting industry. It consists of a durable steel substrate with a premium factory-applied coating that delivers a bright white, professional finish ideal for UV direct printing, vinyl application, screen printing, or hand painting.
While ACM is a composite of aluminium and polyethylene, Colorbond is solid prepainted steel — making it heavier but significantly more rigid, impact-resistant, and fire-rated. Colorbond is the preferred substrate for safety signage, industrial compliance signs, and any application requiring superior structural integrity and long-term durability.
Our full sheet size is 2400mm x 1200mm. We can cut any size down to 100mm x 100mm using precision fiber laser cutting for clean, burr-free edges. For signs larger than a single sheet, we can produce multi-panel installations.
Yes! SIGN WHITE is specifically engineered for excellent over-paintability. The surface provides optimal adhesion for vinyl graphics, screen printing inks, and hand-painted finishes — making it the go-to panel for traditional signwriters as well as digital printers.
No. The SIGN WHITE surface is inherently mar-resistant and UV-stable, so lamination is not required or offered. The factory-applied high-gloss coating protects the printed surface without the need for additional film.
Colorbond steel with UV direct printing is rated for 5–7+ years of outdoor exposure in Australian conditions. The BlueScope substrate itself is warranted for much longer. In sheltered or semi-indoor applications, signage can last 10+ years.

Standard production is 5 business days from artwork approval to dispatch. Next-day and same-day rush options available at checkout — often used for urgent safety compliance signage before WHS audits, construction site handovers, or regulatory inspections. Delivery time is additional on top of production.
Yes. Colorbond panels are heavier than ACM due to the solid steel substrate, so freight is a larger cost component on interstate orders. Sydney metro via Go Logistics (next-day or same-day). Interstate via Transdirect with tracking. For bulk safety-sign or industrial-sign orders (10+ panels), we negotiate freight directly with carriers. Delivered Australia-wide.
Yes. Our UV flatbed press achieves 95%+ Pantone coverage on the SIGN WHITE factory surface. Supply your Pantone number or brand-guide reference and we colour-match during pre-press. For critical AS 1319 safety signage where colour standards are non-negotiable (AS red, AS yellow, AS blue, AS green), we use calibrated standard colour profiles to meet compliance.
Yes — Colorbond is the preferred substrate for AS 1319 safety signs where fire rating, impact resistance, and structural integrity matter. The solid steel substrate handles knocks and debris better than ACM in industrial environments, warehouses, construction sites, and outdoor compliance applications. Supply your AS 1319 spec at order and we'll confirm text, symbol, and colour compliance before printing.
Yes for Sydney metro at $120/hr per installer (2-installer minimum for panels above 1200mm or above-head height, 3-hour call-out minimum per visit). For construction site signage and industrial compliance installs, we supply heavy-duty fixings (concrete anchors, timber-screw kits) depending on mounting surface. Interstate installs routed through our vetted contractor network.
12-month warranty on print fade and manufacturing defects. The BlueScope steel substrate itself carries much longer manufacturer warranties (varies by product but typically 15+ years). In practice, properly-installed Colorbond signs routinely last 10+ years outdoors without visible degradation.
