Our plywood printing service puts full-colour graphics straight onto marine or birch plywood with UV direct printing — no vinyl application, no film lamination. The UV-cured ink bonds directly into the sanded face veneer, so the finish is matte, tactile, and reads as part of the panel rather than a layer on top of it. Unprinted areas show the natural timber grain — a look designers deliberately build into signage, retail, event, and architectural work.
Choose marine-grade plywood for robust, outdoor-capable panels, or premium pale birch plywood for refined interior work. Both boards provide a clean face veneer for direct printing. Every panel is printed and cut in-house: choose a standard rectangle or a CO₂ laser cut custom shape with the signature layered edge. Panels run from 100mm x 100mm up to a full 2440mm x 1220mm sheet, in two stocked thicknesses: 6mm and 12mm.

Every panel is plywood cut to size as part of your order — choose any rectangle from 100mm x 100mm up to a full 2440 x 1220mm sheet, or supply a vector outline and we'll cut the shape exactly on the CO₂ laser or the CNC router. Where Printed Plywood Works Best
Printed marine ply is the timber panel for work that has to last and be seen: shopfront and site signage, outdoor event graphics, hospitality fitouts and menu features, market and festival stalls, wayfinding, and architectural feature panels where the visible grain and layered edge are part of the design. Where MDF is our smooth, budget interior board, marine ply brings structure, genuine grain, and weather tolerance.

Plywood printing is full-colour UV direct printing straight onto raw plywood. The UV-cured ink bonds directly to the sanded face veneer — no vinyl, no film — so the natural timber grain shows through unprinted areas of your design. We print on two boards: marine ply (A-grade face veneers, waterproof structural glue lines, outdoor capable) and birch ply (pale, fine-grained, premium interior board).
Both, on every thickness we offer, and the difference is worth knowing. The CO₂ laser cuts a very fine kerf, so it holds tight internal corners and fine detail, and it nests parts closer together on the sheet — less waste on intricate shapes. It leaves a sealed, caramelised edge: a subtly darkened line around the cut. That is not a defect. Plenty of designers ask for it deliberately — it's the classic printed-timber look, and it seals the edge as it goes. The CNC router leaves a clean, uncoloured timber edge with no charring, which reads pale and crisp, and it's the better choice on larger shapes or where the board should stay light. Both give a sharp, finished edge. Tell us which you'd prefer and we'll cut accordingly; otherwise we choose whichever suits your shape.

Marine ply has a waterproof phenolic glue line between every layer and a void-free core, so it copes with weather and knocks — it's warm honey-toned with a visible layered edge, and it's the board for exterior signage, hoardings and anything structural. Birch ply has a pale, almost-white face with a fine even grain and a crisp striped edge; colours print cleaner and brighter on it, and it's the board designers pick when the timber itself is part of the design. Birch is interior/sheltered only, and it adds 15% to the price because the board genuinely costs more. Both are UV direct printed and cut in-house on the same machines.
Going outside, or anywhere it might get wet? Marine ply — it's the only one of the two rated for weather. Staying indoors and you want the board to look premium (retail fitouts, feature panels, exhibition work, gallery pieces)? Birch ply. If you want the smoothest possible print surface at the lowest price and it's strictly indoors, consider MDF instead — see our MDF Printing page. Marine ply is the premium structural grade: smooth, void-free face veneers and a waterproof phenolic glue line between every layer. That means a cleaner print surface than standard ply, crisp laser-cut edges with the signature layered look, and a board that tolerates moisture and outdoor conditions far better than MDF or interior-grade sheets. It's our default plywood — birch is the interior alternative when appearance matters more than exposure.
No. Every panel is UV direct printed — the ink is cured straight into the timber surface by our UV flatbed press. There is no vinyl application and no film lamination on this product at all. The result is a matte, tactile finish that feels like part of the board rather than a layer sitting on top of it.
Our calculator offers 6mm and 12mm in both marine and birch plywood, cut from full 2440 x 1220mm sheets. 6mm suits wall-mounted panels, display boards and lightweight signage; 12mm gives a substantial, rigid panel for freestanding pieces, heavy-duty signage and feature work. Marine plywood is built with waterproof glue lines and handles outdoor conditions far better than MDF or standard ply, and our UV-cured inks are weather-resistant. For signage in exposed exterior positions we recommend sealing the cut edges and faces for the longest life — ask us about a sealed or coated finish for your project. For sheltered outdoor and indoor positions, the raw printed board is ready to go.
Plywood's layered construction is part of its look — cut edges show the alternating veneer stripes that designers love. Straight-cut panels have a clean, sanded layered edge; laser-cut contour shapes have a smooth, slightly darkened sealed edge. Both read as deliberate, natural finishes.

Our maximum single panel is 2440mm x 1220mm — a full plywood sheet. Minimum size is 100mm x 100mm. For installations larger than a single sheet, panels can be produced in sections and joined on-site — contact us for multi-panel layouts.
Yes. Panels can be UV printed on one or both sides — select single or double sided in the calculator. Double-sided printing adds 50% to the print price and suits hanging displays, window-facing panels, and freestanding pieces viewed from both sides.
UV inks are translucent, so printed straight onto raw timber your colours take on the wood tone and grain underneath — a natural, organic look. Selecting the white ink base prints a white underlay beneath your artwork first, so colours come out vivid and true — like printing on a white surface. White ink adds 20% to the print price. Yes — choose Custom Contour Cut in the calculator and we'll CO₂ laser cut your panel to the outline of your design: circles, logos, lettering outlines, product silhouettes, anything with a clean vector path. The laser leaves a smooth, sealed edge with the plywood's layered stripes showing through — a signature look.
Choose marine plywood when you want visible timber grain, the layered edge look, more structural strength, or any outdoor exposure. Choose MDF when you want the smoothest possible print surface at the lowest price for indoor work — see our MDF Printing page. Both are UV direct printed and cut in-house; plywood carries a premium for the marine-grade board.
We accept PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, PSD, TIFF, and high-resolution JPEG/PNG files. For best results, supply vector artwork at actual size with 10mm bleed. Remember that unprinted areas show the natural grain — design with the timber in mind, or include a printed background (or the white ink base) if you need full coverage. Standard production is 5 business days from artwork approval to dispatch. A Fast Turnaround option (3 business days) is available in the calculator for urgent jobs. Delivery time is additional on top of production.
Yes. Sydney metro via courier (often next-day after dispatch), interstate via freight carrier with tracking. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on panel size and your postcode. You can also pick up from our workshop free of charge.
