Substrate and thickness
3mm and 4mm ACM cover most flat signs. Solid aluminium and stainless step up cost, weight and fixing requirements.
Metal signs
Metal signage covers panels and plaques rather than individual letters: ACM and aluminium sign panels, brushed and stainless plaques, and fabricated metal sign faces for buildings, receptions and shopfronts. Everything here is cut, finished and packed in Platinum's Botany factory.

Production timing starts after proof approval and payment, with quote-first handling for oversized, installed or unusual work.

Substrate, finish and fixing method drive cost and lifespan far more than artwork does. These are real Platinum jobs across the common metal paths.

Panel options
Aluminium composite panel is the default for flat exterior signs — light, rigid, weather-stable and cost-effective at size.
Price ACM signsA brushed metal face for reception walls and premium entries without the weight or cost of solid stainless.
Price brushed ACMSolid aluminium for durability where a composite panel is not enough, including exposed and high-traffic positions.

Folded returns and built-up construction give depth and a solid, premium read on a facade or reception wall.

Metal signs are panels and plaques — a single face carrying your artwork. Metal letters are individually cut characters mounted separately. Panels usually cost less and suit compliance, wayfinding and facade signs; letters give a premium dimensional look on reception and shopfront walls.
ACM and marine-grade aluminium handle most exterior positions well. Stainless is used where a premium finish or coastal exposure justifies the cost. The right answer depends on position, exposure and budget rather than a single best material.
Yes. Send a photo and any brand colour references and Platinum can match print, vinyl or paint finishes, and advise where an exact match across different materials is not achievable.
Yes. Metal signs are made in Botany and delivered Australia-wide. Installation is quoted separately and depends on site location and access.
