Routing time follows the geometry and the material. These inputs move the price most.
Sheet type, thickness and hold-down decide tooling, cutting speed and the edge finish you get back.
Router bits leave a radius in internal corners, and very fine detail may suit the laser instead.
Pockets, grooves, V-folds, drilling and engraving passes add machining time to the same file.
Part count and nesting efficiency change material use, machine time and the unit price.
