Product details

Match the warning to the identified toxic hazard

Use the sign only where the site assessment calls for the TOXIC HAZARD warning. The verified face combines a yellow warning field, black triangle, skull-and-crossbones pictogram and the exact legend. Confirm the substance, exposure route and intended message rather than selecting the sign from the room name alone.

Choose the material and portrait size

Polypropylene is the default rigid option. Vinyl suits a prepared smooth surface, Corflute suits temporary placement, and Colorbond steel provides a stronger mechanically fixed face. Choose 225 × 300 mm for close approaches, 300 × 450 mm for more prominence, or 450 × 600 mm for larger or visually busy approaches.

Install the warning before exposure

Place the sign next to the hazard or before the controlled work, handling or storage area so people can see and act on it before exposure. Keep the full symbol and legend unobstructed, check the view with doors and equipment in their normal positions, and repeat the warning at separate approaches when required.

Keep chemical identification and controls in place

The sign supports hazard communication but does not replace a correct GHS container or pipework label, safety data sheet, chemical register or required ADG placard. Maintain the isolation, ventilation, storage, spill, emergency, PPE, training and supervision controls selected for the chemical and task.

Check the sign format before ordering

This is a general workplace TOXIC HAZARD warning sign. It is not a GHS container label or an ADG Class 6.1 dangerous-goods label. Confirm the hazard classification, location, wording, labels, placards and supporting controls from the current SDS, site risk assessment and applicable requirements.

Before ordering

  • Confirm that the exact TOXIC HAZARD legend and skull-and-crossbones warning match the assessed site hazard.
  • Identify every normal approach where people need the warning before potential exposure.
  • Choose polypropylene, vinyl, Corflute or Colorbond for the mounting surface and intended duration.
  • Choose a portrait size that remains clear before the controlled area or hazard is reached.
  • Confirm the separate GHS labels, SDS, placards, procedures and exposure controls required for the chemical and task.

This is general product information, not legal or engineering advice. A safety sign is one part of a workplace control system; confirm the site and jurisdictional requirements before ordering.
