Use the sign at the decision point
Install the sign where a person decides whether to enter: on or immediately before a staff-room door, back-of-house entry, store, plant area, service corridor or other staff access point. Keep the complete STAFF ONLY legend visible before entry and repeat it at separate approaches when needed.
Choose the material for the installation
Polypropylene is the default rigid material for routine indoor and general site use. Self-adhesive vinyl suits a clean, smooth and dry surface. Corflute is the economical choice for temporary or shorter-term placement. Colorbond steel is the stronger rigid option for mechanically fixed installations.
Select a readable landscape size
Choose 300 × 225 mm for close-range doors and entries, 450 × 300 mm for a more prominent workplace approach, or 600 × 450 mm for larger or visually busy locations. Check the sign from the normal approach with doors and gates in their usual open and closed positions.
