Fiber Laser Cutting
A fiber laser concentrates energy into a narrow cutting path while assist gas clears molten metal from the profile. It is designed for sheet metal rather than the acrylic, timber and display materials handled by our CO2 laser. That distinction matters: choosing the process begins with the actual material, not simply the word “laser” on a drawing.
Our working area is 3000 × 1500mm. Material-specific maximums range from 1.5mm for copper to 6mm for mild steel and aluminium. Grade, coating, surface film, sheet flatness, part geometry and the required edge can reduce what is appropriate for a particular job.
A good production file separates the cut geometry from fold references, engraving, notes and dimensions. Closed paths, outlined text and one clear version of each line help avoid double cutting. Critical holes, slots and internal corners should be identified so they can be reviewed against material thickness and later assembly.
The cutting stage is often only the beginning. A sign face may need folding and coating; lettering may need returns, studs or illumination; a bracket may need welding and edge dressing. Tell us the finished use so the quote covers the whole production sequence rather than a flat profile that is not yet ready for installation.

Quote preparation
Send a 1:1 vector or CAD file with closed profiles and duplicate lines removed. State the exact metal, grade where known, thickness, sheet finish, finished quantity and whether stock is supplied by Platinum or by you.
Mark the visible face, grain direction, protective film, critical dimensions and later operations such as folding, welding, coating or stud fixing. If the drawing is not production-ready, include photographs or a marked-up sketch so drawing time and any sample work can be quoted openly.
