Product details
Match the exact header-only face
The approved artwork reads LOADING ZONE in white inside a red header. Its lower panel is blank and it contains no arrow, operating schedule, time limit or controlled-zone wording. Use this exact face only when those omissions match the confirmed site requirement.
Confirm the only listed construction
The live option is a 225 × 450 mm portrait plate in 1.6 mm aluminium. It is sold here as a non-reflective base face with no selectable drilling, lamination or reflective finish. Posts, brackets and mounting hardware are separate project decisions.
Define direction, times and extent separately
A blank lower panel does not show where a zone starts or ends, which direction it runs, when it operates or how long an eligible vehicle may stay. Take those details from the approved parking schedule, traffic plan and installed sign arrangement rather than inferring them from the header.
Check the current authority design before road use
For a NSW public road, confirm the current Traffic Signs Register face, reflective construction, support, location and installation authority. Road Rule 179 sets restrictions when an authorised loading-zone sign applies; buying this face does not create a legal zone or approve its placement.
Check the sign format before ordering
This header-only face does not define the direction, controlled length, operating schedule, eligible users or installation authority for a loading zone. It does not create a legal loading zone or authorise public-road use. Confirm the complete sign arrangement and current jurisdictional requirements.
- NSW Road Rules 2014 – Rule 179 — Rule 179 limits who may stop in a loading zone, links permitted stopping to loading, unloading or passenger movement, and sets duration rules including any different time shown with the sign. It defines a loading zone as a length of road to which a loading-zone sign applies. Read source (opens in a new tab)NSW road-rule context only. The rule does not establish that this product face, construction or installation is authorised for a particular road.
- Transport for NSW – Traffic Signs Register — The register is the Transport for NSW source for standard, special and restricted traffic signs used on the NSW road network, including current sign-design information and usage conditions. Read source (opens in a new tab)Check the current register entry and approved project documents before specifying a public-road face, arrow, times, reflective class or support.
- Transport for NSW – Supplement to AS 1742 — The current NSW supplement states that statutory requirements take precedence and directs sign designers to the Traffic Signs Register and current Transport for NSW requirements. Before ordering
- Confirm that the exact LOADING ZONE header with a blank lower panel matches the approved site message.
- Confirm whether a left, right or double-headed arrow is required to define the controlled length.
- Specify any operating days, hours, stay limit, vehicle condition or controlled-zone wording separately.
- Confirm reflectivity, drilling, post, brackets, mounting height, support and sight line for the installation.
- Use the current Traffic Signs Register design and written project authority for any public-road installation.

Frequently asked questions
What is printed on this Loading Zone sign?
The approved portrait artwork has the white two-line legend LOADING ZONE inside a red rounded header on a white face with a black rounded border. The large lower panel is intentionally blank. It has no arrow, operating days, hours, stay limit, CONTROLLED, TICKET or METER wording.
Who may stop in a loading zone, and for how long?
Eligibility and time limits depend on the jurisdiction and the information displayed with the authorised sign. In NSW, Road Rule 179 limits who may stop and ties the permitted stay to loading, unloading or passenger movement. The default maximum is 30 minutes for some eligible vehicles, but shorter activity-based limits and any different time shown on the sign can apply. Do not read this blank lower panel as permission for every vehicle to park for 30 minutes.
Does the blank lower panel define the direction or length of the zone?
No. This artwork has no left, right or double-headed arrow and does not state a start, end or controlled length. Confirm the arrow, sign position, extent and any associated line marking from the approved traffic plan, parking schedule or private-site layout before installation.
Can this exact sign be installed on a public road?
Purchasing this header-only, non-reflective face does not authorise public-road installation or establish a legal loading zone. Confirm the current Traffic Signs Register design, complete legend, arrow, operating schedule, reflective construction, support, placement and written authority in the project documents before ordering for regulated use.
What construction and mounting are included?
The listed product is a 225 × 450 mm portrait face in 1.6 mm aluminium. The base price is non-reflective. No drilling, post, brackets, reflective film or other mounting hardware is included in the standard configurator; specify those items separately where the approved installation requires them.
What volume discounts apply?
Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
