Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as the Compliance guide?
The compliance guide at /compliance/construction-checklist is the regulation-heavy explainer — who the PCBU is, what Chapter 6 requires, what a Site Safety Board needs to show. This page is the product-shortlist version — tick what your site needs, browse the matching sign families, order the kit.
How often should I review site signage?
Every week on a live site. The hazards change constantly — excavation fills in, scaffolding goes up then comes down, new trades arrive, chemicals move. Weekly signage review is a good practice on longer-running projects and is often a requirement in the Safety Management Plan.
What material is best for temporary site signs?
Corflute (fluted polypropylene) is standard for site-specific temporary signage — cable-ties onto temporary fencing, weatherproof, inexpensive. Aluminium is better for long-term permanent signage (property boundary signs, long-project safety boards). ACM is a premium choice for high-visibility site hoarding.
