Description
An AS 2416.1 prohibition sign with red annulus and fishing-rod pictogram, used to protect council reservoirs, water-treatment ponds, fish-restocking zones, and riparian buffer areas from unauthorised angling. The picto-only format suits fence-line installation where space and visual consistency matter. Polypropylene works well for inland freshwater sites; marine-grade aluminium is essential for coastal reservoirs, saltwater ponds, and exposed locations where corrosion risk is high. Four sizes accommodate primary gates, fence runs, and secondary access points. Lamination and pre-drilled holes speed up fence-post mounting. Bulk pricing available for councils and water-management organisations. Delivery across Australia from our Sydney facility.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
How many signs do I need for a reservoir fence line?
Standard practice is one sign every 50 metres at eye level. Use 600×900mm at primary entry points (gates, boat ramps) and 450×600mm along fence runs; 225×300mm works for secondary pedestrian access.
Will polypropylene fade in sunlight?
Our polypropylene is UV-stabilised and maintains colour for 5–7 years in full sun. If you need longer life or are near saltwater, marine aluminium is the better choice.
Do I need council approval to install these?
Check with your local water authority or council—they may have guidelines on signage placement and design. We supply the sign; compliance with local regulations is your responsibility.
Can the sign be installed on timber posts?
Yes. We pre-drill holes for bolting. Use stainless-steel fixings to prevent rust staining on polypropylene or to avoid galvanic corrosion on aluminium.
What's your bulk discount structure?
Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
