Description
Use this flat Wet Floor sign at workplace approaches where water, cleaning residue or another temporary condition may make the floor slippery. The verified landscape artwork has a yellow field, black outline, black diagonal hazard stripes along the upper and lower edges, and the exact legend CAUTION SLIPPERY FLOOR. It has no pictogram and makes no unsupported claim about the cause or severity of the hazard. Polypropylene is preselected as the practical rigid option for routine indoor and general site use. Self-adhesive vinyl suits a clean, smooth surface and is supplied in packs of three; 3 mm Corflute suits temporary placement; and 0.6 mm Colorbond steel provides a stronger face for mechanical fixing. Choose 300 × 225 mm, 450 × 300 mm or 600 × 450 mm. Optional holes apply only to rigid materials, while lamination and reflective film apply only to compatible vinyl selections. Mount the sign where it can be read before a person steps onto the affected floor, not after they are already in the slippery area. Check every normal approach, keep the complete border and wording unobstructed, and replace a damaged or faded face. Reassess the location when the layout, floor finish, cleaning process or source of contamination changes. A warning sign supports the workplace controls but does not remove the hazard.
