Description
Use this Welding in Progress sign to warn workers, contractors and visitors before they enter or pass an area where active welding is taking place. The portrait yellow-and-black design combines a welder pictogram with the exact legend WELDING IN PROGRESS, making the temporary work condition clear on approach. The standard sizes are 225 × 300 mm, 300 × 450 mm and 450 × 600 mm. Polypropylene is preselected as the practical rigid option for routine workshop and general site use. Self-adhesive vinyl suits clean, smooth surfaces; 5 mm Corflute suits temporary placement; and Colorbond steel provides a stronger rigid face for mechanical fixing. Optional mounting holes apply only to rigid materials. Lamination and reflective-film options apply only where the selected material supports them. Place the sign before the active work area, where people have time to see the warning and follow the site controls. Keep the complete symbol and wording unobstructed, repeat it at separate approaches where one face is not enough, and remove or cover it when welding is no longer in progress so temporary warnings remain credible. Welding can expose people to hazards including arc radiation, fumes, sparks, fire, electrical risks and hot materials. This sign provides a warning only.
