Description
Use this Watch Your Step Sign where a site assessment identifies a step, change in floor level or other underfoot trip hazard that people need to notice before reaching it. The verified landscape artwork has a black header panel with CAUTION in yellow and the exact WATCH YOUR STEP legend in black on a yellow field. It does not include a pictogram or name a specific surface defect. The landscape catalogue sizes are 300 × 225 mm, 450 × 300 mm and 600 × 450 mm. Polypropylene is preselected as the practical rigid option for routine indoor and general site use. Self-adhesive vinyl suits a clean, smooth surface; 5 mm Corflute suits temporary placement; and Colorbond steel provides a stronger mechanically fixed face. Optional mounting holes apply only to rigid materials, while lamination and reflective film appear only with a compatible vinyl selection. Position the sign on the normal approach where the identified condition can be seen and acted on before a person reaches it. Keep the complete face unobstructed, check the view with doors, people and equipment in their usual positions, and repeat the warning at separate approaches when one sign does not cover every path. Use a more specific warning when WATCH YOUR STEP does not accurately describe the hazard. The sign is a visual warning, not a repair or barrier.
