Description
The Slippery Surface warning sign uses the AS 1319 yellow and black format to alert workers to fall hazards in wet, icy, or low-friction areas. Essential for kitchens, bathrooms, loading docks, car parks, and outdoor walkways during wet weather, the sign gives personnel time to adjust their pace and footwear before entering the hazard zone. Available in corflute, polypropylene, Colorbond steel, and vinyl across four sizes, the sign is printed with UV-resistant inks that withstand Australian sun and moisture exposure. Enhance visibility with reflective Class 1 or 2 striping for night-time or dimly lit areas, lamination for splash protection, or pre-drilled holes for quick mounting.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
When should I use a Slippery Surface sign?
Use in wet areas like kitchens and bathrooms, loading docks after rain, car parks, outdoor walkways, and near swimming pools or water features. Also deploy temporarily during cleaning or maintenance when floors are wet.
Which material is best for wet environments?
Vinyl or Colorbond steel resist moisture and won't delaminate. Polypropylene is also water-resistant but less durable long-term. Add lamination for extra protection if the sign will face direct spray or submersion.
Should I use reflective striping for outdoor car parks?
Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.
Can I move the sign to different locations?
Yes. Corflute or polypropylene with pre-drilled holes are easy to relocate. If you need a temporary solution, consider a corflute sign; for permanent outdoor installation, Colorbond or reflective vinyl is more robust.
Do you offer bulk pricing for multi-site orders?
Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
