Description
Prevent trips and falls with this AS 1319-compliant caution sign alerting workers to uneven surfaces, stairs, and obstacles. The yellow and black warning format is instantly recognised across Australian workplaces, signalling a non-critical but important hazard. Offered in corflute, polypropylene, colorbond, and vinyl in four sizes: 225×300 mm, 300×450 mm, 450×600 mm, and 600×900 mm. Select reflective Class 1 or Class 2 for stairwells and dimly lit areas, lamination for long-term protection, or pre-drilled holes for quick installation. Trade customers receive bulk discounts on volume purchases. Nationwide delivery is available. All materials are UV-stabilised to resist fading and maintain legibility in outdoor and high-temperature conditions.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
What's the best placement for a step hazard sign?
Mount the sign at eye level (1.4–1.6 m) at the top and bottom of stairs or immediately before an uneven surface. Reflective versions are essential in stairwells with poor natural light.
Should I use reflective coating on interior office stairs?
Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.
Which material suits a wet or slippery floor area?
Vinyl or colorbond are preferred in wet areas because they resist moisture and won't delaminate. Polypropylene is acceptable in semi-sheltered zones but may absorb water over time.
Can I use this sign for outdoor garden steps or pathways?
Yes. Use colorbond or vinyl in 450×600 mm or larger for outdoor visibility. Lamination and reflective coating are recommended to withstand weather and ensure visibility at dusk.
Do you supply matching sets for multiple stairwells?
Certainly. Order multiple signs in the same size and finish for consistency. Trade accounts can arrange tiered pricing and single-shipment delivery across your facility.
