Description
Protect workers from overhead and underground electrical hazards with this essential AS 1319 warning sign. Overhead cables and buried services pose serious injury risks on construction, excavation, and utility sites—this sign gives crews the heads-up they need. Manufactured in corflute, polypropylene, Colorbond steel, or vinyl with UV-stable inks that hold colour and contrast in Australian sun. Supplied in four sizes (225×300 mm through 600×900 mm) to suit different viewing distances and site layouts. Platinum Signs adds mounting holes, reflective coatings, and lamination on request; trade pricing and bulk discounts apply.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
When is this sign legally required?
Not strictly mandated by statute, but strongly recommended wherever excavation, crane work, or digging occurs near known or suspected utilities. Check with your state's electrical safety regulator and utility locator service (e.g., Dial Before You Dig) for site-specific obligations.
Should I use this sign alongside Dial Before You Dig?
Yes. Dial Before You Dig (1100) marks underground services; this sign reinforces the hazard visually on site. Use both as part of a comprehensive utility-awareness plan.
Which size for a large construction site?
For open sites with long sightlines, use 600×900 mm or 450×600 mm. For confined areas like trenches or scaffolding, 300×450 mm or 225×300 mm is sufficient. Mount at entry points and near work zones.
Does reflective backing help in poor light?
Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.
What's the lead time for large orders?
Stock items ship within 3–5 business days. Orders over 20 units may be quoted separately for bulk pricing and delivery scheduling. Email your requirements to our trade team.
