Description
Use this R1-2 GIVE WAY sign where an approved traffic-control plan requires drivers to slow, be ready to stop and give way to other traffic before proceeding. Typical applications include road intersections, private-road junctions, car-park circulation, depots, campuses and industrial traffic routes. The decision to use GIVE WAY rather than STOP control should come from the responsible road authority, traffic engineer or site traffic plan. Choose the specified 1.6 mm aluminium size: the 750 × 750 mm R1-2A or the 900 × 900 mm R1-2B inverted triangle. Class 400 high-intensity prismatic reflective sheeting is included in the standard product and displayed price. The face is supplied undrilled and unbraced so drilling, supports and brackets can match the approved mounting specification; posts and brackets are sold separately. If the specification requires a different reflective grade or a matched-component system, request that separately before ordering. Install the sign where the complete triangle is visible on the driver approach and coordinate its position with any holding line, mounting height, lateral clearance and available sight distance. Check the post, brackets, footing and roadside-clearance requirements separately; the sign face alone is not a complete traffic-control installation. Yes. This product uses the inverted red-bordered triangle R1-2 GIVE WAY design. It is a regulatory road sign within the Australian traffic-sign framework, not an AS 1319 workplace safety sign. Can I install this GIVE WAY sign on a public road?
