Description
Customisable LP gas storage prohibition sign with variable distance field (3 m, 5 m, or 10 m) per AS 1596:2017 Table 3.1 separation distances. Required at every LP gas tank, cylinder cage, and decanting area to control ignition sources around pressurised containers. Distance varies by cylinder size: 3 m for cylinders ≤50 kg, 5 m for 50–500 kg, 10 m for tanks >500 kg. Available in vinyl, polypropylene, and Colorbond. Specify your distance when ordering and we'll print the correct clearance. Holes and lamination protect signage in outdoor gas-handling zones. Australia-wide delivery with bulk discounts for multi-tank installations.

How do I know which distance to specify for my cylinders?
Check AS 1596 Table 3.1: cylinders ≤50 kg require 3 m clearance, 50–500 kg require 5 m, and tanks >500 kg require 10 m. If your site has mixed sizes, install separate signs at each zone with the appropriate distance.
Can I order multiple signs with different distances in one shipment?
Yes. Add a note in the order specifying the distance for each sign and we'll print accordingly. Bulk orders with mixed distances receive standard volume pricing.
Where exactly should the sign be positioned around a cylinder cage?
Mount at cage entry points and perimeter fencing at eye level so the distance boundary is clear. For decanting areas, position the sign so the clearance zone is visible from the operator's work position.
Is lamination worth the cost for outdoor gas storage areas?
Yes. Lamination protects against UV, moisture, and potential chemical splash in gas-handling zones, maintaining legibility and compliance signage throughout the sign's service life.
