Ramped Access Sign

Description

Ramped Access signs direct visitors and staff to wheelchair-accessible entrances and facilities. This general information sign — not an AS 1319 hazard sign — displays a blue panel, white pictogram, and black text for clear, inclusive wayfinding. Offered in colorbond (0.55 mm, weather-resistant) or polypropylene (1.6 mm, interior-friendly) in 225 × 300 mm or 300 × 450 mm. Add mounting holes and lamination for secure, durable installation. Platinum Signs supports Australian organisations with trade pricing, bulk discounts, and fast nationwide delivery. Customisation and bespoke sizing on request.

Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked

Where do Ramped Access signs typically go?

Building entrances, car parks, public facilities, and internal corridors. They guide visitors to accessible routes and comply with accessibility expectations.

Is this sign part of disability access compliance?

It supports accessibility signage best practice but isn't a mandatory AS standard. Check your local building code or accessibility policy for specific requirements.

Which size is more visible from a distance?

300 × 450 mm is more prominent in large foyers and car parks. 225 × 300 mm works well for internal doors and corridors.

Can I order these for multiple buildings?

Yes. Bulk orders for multiple sites receive tiered discounts. Provide addresses and quantities for a formal trade quote.

How durable is polypropylene in a car park?

Polypropylene is suitable for covered car parks and moderate weather. For exposed outdoor car parks, colorbond is more durable and requires less maintenance.
