Description
Smoke door control is a critical part of fire safety—this sign enforces the requirement to keep fire doors closed and unobstructed. Built to AS 1319, the red panel design ensures instant recognition during an emergency. Suitable for placement above or beside smoke doors in multi-level buildings, stairwells, and fire-rated corridors. Available in corflute, polypropylene, colorbond, and vinyl across four standard sizes (225×300 mm to 600×900 mm). Colorbond is non-combustible and ideal for high-risk areas; polypropylene offers value for protected indoor spaces. All prints use fade-resistant inks. Bulk orders qualify for trade pricing; we deliver Australia-wide within 5–7 business days.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
Where exactly should this smoke door sign be mounted?
Install it directly above the door frame or on the door itself at eye level (1.4–1.6 m from the floor). This ensures occupants see the instruction before attempting to open or prop the door during evacuation.
Is colorbond necessary for indoor smoke doors?
Colorbond is non-combustible and lasts longer in high-traffic areas, but polypropylene works well indoors where fire exposure is unlikely. Choose based on your building's fire rating and maintenance budget.
Can I order multiple signs at once for a large building?
Yes. Trade accounts receive bulk discounts on orders of 10+ units. Contact our sales team for a quote tailored to your floor plan and delivery schedule.
Do these signs come with mounting holes?
Yes. Four-corner pre-drilled holes are an optional extra with a base surcharge of $3.00 inc GST per sign for the listed configurations, before any applicable volume discount. Select the option to update the configured total before adding to cart.
How long does delivery take across Australia?
Standard delivery is 5–7 business days to most locations. Remote areas may take 10–14 days. Express options are available at checkout.
