Description
This AS 1319 compliant sign clearly marks hydrant booster valve locations for fire services personnel and building occupants. The distinctive red panel ensures visibility during emergency response, reducing confusion and speeding up water supply activation. Essential for commercial buildings, industrial sites, and public facilities where hydrant systems are installed. Available in corflute, polypropylene, Colorbond, and vinyl across four standard sizes (225×300 mm to 600×900 mm). Reflective Class 1 and 2 options enhance visibility in dark or smoky conditions. All signs feature fade-resistant printing and are supplied with optional pre-drilled holes and lamination. Platinum Signs delivers Australia-wide and offers volume discounts for multi-building organisations.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
Where exactly should the booster valve sign be mounted?
Mount it directly above or immediately adjacent to the booster valve housing, at eye level when possible. This ensures firefighters and maintenance personnel can locate it quickly without searching.
Does this sign need to be reflective?
Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.
What size is best for an outdoor hydrant installation?
Available sizes are 225 x 300,300mm. Viewing-distance notes are a practical selection aid, not a substitute for checking the approach distance, lighting, mounting position, wording and site risk assessment.
Is Colorbond necessary, or will polypropylene work?
Polypropylene is adequate for indoor valve rooms. Colorbond is non-combustible and more durable outdoors or in harsh industrial environments, making it worth the extra investment.
Can I order multiple signs for a large facility at a discount?
Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
