Fire Safety Door Do Not Obstruct Do Not Keep Open Sign

Description

This AS 1319 compliant fire safety sign marks doors that must remain clear and unobstructed to protect evacuation routes and equipment access during emergencies. The red panel format ensures instant recognition when seconds matter. Suitable for placement above or beside fire doors, stairwells, and access points in commercial buildings, factories, and public venues. Available in corflute, polypropylene, Colorbond, and vinyl across four standard sizes from 225×300 mm to 600×900 mm. Reflective options (Class 1 and 2) improve visibility in low-light conditions. Platinum Signs prints all fire signage with fade-resistant inks and offers drilling, lamination, and bulk discounts for multi-site organisations. Australia-wide delivery included.

Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

    Frequently asked

Does this sign comply with Australian fire safety standards?

The appropriate safety-sign category, wording, placement and supporting controls depend on the product purpose, site risk and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with your WHS adviser or regulator; a sign alone does not discharge WHS duties.

What size should I choose for my building?

Available sizes are 225 x 300,300mm. Viewing-distance notes are a practical selection aid, not a substitute for checking the approach distance, lighting, mounting position, wording and site risk assessment.

Can I get reflective versions for poorly lit areas?

Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.

What's the difference between Colorbond and polypropylene?

Colorbond (aluminium composite) is non-combustible and lasts longer outdoors; polypropylene is lightweight, budget-friendly, and ideal for indoor use. Both resist fading and are fire-safe.

Do you offer bulk pricing for multiple locations?

Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
