Description
This Fire Hydrant & Fire Hose sign delivers clear identification for dual fire-fighting assets in a single AS 1319–formatted red panel. Designed for rapid recognition during emergency response, it meets Australian safety standards and suits facilities where hydrants and hose reels are positioned together or in adjacent zones. Material flexibility includes corflute for temporary use, polypropylene for budget-conscious indoor deployments, Colorbond for non-combustible outdoor installations, and vinyl for moderate-duty environments. Sizes span 225×300 mm to 600×900 mm. All orders include fade-resistant ink; choose from optional holes, lamination, and Class 1 or Class 2 reflective coatings. How do I know which size to order?
Consider viewing distance and available wall space. For distances under 5 m, 225×300 mm or 300×450 mm suffices; beyond 5 m, use 450×600 mm or 600×900 mm for clear visibility.
Are these signs fire-rated?
The signs themselves are printed with fire-resistant inks. Colorbond material is non-combustible; polypropylene and vinyl are combustible but suitable for indoor areas where fire-rated signage is not mandated by local codes.
What fixings should I use for installation?
Standard M5 or M6 bolts or screws work with pre-drilled holes. For brick or concrete, use appropriate anchors; for timber, wood screws are suitable. Avoid over-tightening, which can crack the material.
Do you supply fixings with the sign?
Fixings are not included; pre-drilled holes are provided. We recommend sourcing stainless steel or galvanised fasteners to prevent corrosion, particularly in outdoor or humid environments.
