Description
Use this 3D projecting Fire Extinguisher sign where people approach the equipment location from more than one direction. Its folded off-wall format presents the same red-and-white extinguisher symbol and legend on two faces, making the location easier to identify from either side of a corridor, warehouse aisle, workshop or public circulation area. This is a specific stocked construction, not a generic flat sign: two 225 × 225 mm faces formed from 1.6 mm polypropylene. The shape projects at right angles from the wall and includes the mounting flange shown in the product artwork. It is intended for indoor or sheltered installation. The extinguisher, extinguisher bracket and wall fixings are not included. Install the sign above or adjacent to the matching extinguisher where the complete legend remains visible on the normal approaches. Fire and Rescue NSW guidance states that extinguisher location signs should be mounted at least 2 metres above floor level, be apparent to an approaching person and remain clearly visible on approach. Check the final position against the building's fire-safety schedule, the applicable AS 2444 requirements and the advice of the responsible fire-safety professional. The sign identifies an extinguisher location; it does not determine which extinguisher type is required and does not make an installation compliant by itself.
