Description
Fire Door Do Not Obstruct signs reinforce the critical safety rule that fire-rated doors must remain unobstructed and closed. Designed to AS 1319, these signs clearly mark fire doors to prevent occupants from propping or blocking them during routine operations, maintaining their fire containment capability. Available in Colorbond (non-combustible, heavy-duty), polypropylene (economical, indoor-focused), corflute (weather-resistant, lightweight), and vinyl (flexible, suitable for curved surfaces). Sizes span 225×300 mm to 600×900 mm. All materials are printed with durable, fade-resistant inks and accept optional reflective Class 1 or Class 2 coatings for visibility in low-light or smoke-filled conditions. Trade customers benefit from bulk pricing on facility-wide deployments. We ship Australia-wide in 5–7 business days and provide pre-drilling and lamination options to reduce on-site labour and extend sign longevity.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Frequently asked
How does this sign differ from the 'Do Not Obstruct Do Not Keep Open' version?
Both enforce fire door safety, but this version carries a single message. Choose the simpler variant if your facility policy emphasises obstruction prevention; use the longer message if you also want to prevent propping open.
What mounting method works best on a wooden fire door?
Pre-drilled Colorbond or polypropylene with stainless steel screws is ideal for wood doors. Alternatively, use a vinyl decal if you prefer a non-penetrating method, though screwed mounting offers greater security and longevity.
Do reflective upgrades work in smoky conditions?
Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.
What are the lead times for bulk orders?
Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
Can I order both this sign and the extended message version for different doors?
Yes. Many facilities use the simpler 'Do Not Obstruct' sign on standard fire doors and the extended version on high-traffic or multi-purpose doors. Mixed orders receive the same trade bulk pricing.
