Fire Alarm Type B Sign

Description

Fire Alarm Type B signs comply with AS 1319 and use a red panel design to signal the location of fire alarm activation points. Proper placement directly above or beside the alarm unit ensures occupants can identify and reach it rapidly during an emergency evacuation. Material options include Colorbond (non-combustible, industrial-grade), polypropylene (economical, indoor-suitable), corflute (lightweight, weather-resistant), and vinyl (flexible for curved installations). Available in five sizes from 225×300 mm to 600×900 mm, all printed with UV-stable inks. Reflective Class 1 and Class 2 upgrades enhance visibility in low-light conditions. Trade customers benefit from bulk discounts on mixed orders and fast turnaround. We deliver nationwide within 5–7 business days. Optional pre-drilling and lamination protect your signs during installation and extend their service life.

Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

    Frequently asked

What is the difference between Fire Alarm Type A and Type B?

Both comply with AS 1319, but Type B features a different icon or layout variant. Choose based on your alarm system's design or your facility's visual requirements. Our product pages show the exact symbol for each type.

Will lamination protect my sign from moisture and wear?

Yes. Adding lamination creates a protective layer that resists moisture, dust, and minor physical damage, extending the sign's lifespan—especially valuable in humid or high-traffic areas.

How long does delivery take across Australia?

Standard orders ship within 5–7 business days to most locations. Remote areas may take 1–2 weeks. Express delivery is available upon request at additional cost.

Can I order a small test quantity before a large rollout?

Absolutely. We accept single-unit orders at standard pricing. Once you're satisfied with the quality and appearance, your trade account unlocks bulk discounts for facility-wide installations.

Are the inks used in printing fire-resistant?

All our printing uses fade-resistant inks rated for UV exposure and temperature fluctuations. On Colorbond, the combination of non-combustible substrate and durable inks makes the sign suitable for high-risk fire zones.
