Fire Alarm Type A Sign

Description

Fire Alarm Type A signs follow AS 1319 conventions, displaying a red panel to guide occupants to alarm call points during emergencies. Mount directly above or adjacent to the alarm station so the sign and equipment are visually linked and easily located under stress. Choose from polypropylene for indoor office and retail spaces, Colorbond for industrial or high-temperature zones, corflute for temporary or semi-permanent installations, or vinyl for curved or irregular surfaces. Sizes span 225×300 mm through 600×900 mm. All materials are printed with durable, fade-resistant inks and qualify for optional reflective Class 1 or Class 2 application. Organisations ordering multiple signs benefit from our trade account pricing structure. We ship across Australia in 5–7 days and offer pre-drilling and lamination services to accelerate on-site installation.

Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

    Frequently asked

Is Fire Alarm Type A compliant with building codes?

Yes, it conforms to AS 1319 fire safety signage standards. The red panel and icon design ensure your premises meet statutory requirements for emergency equipment identification.

What's the difference between Class 1 and Class 2 reflective finishes?

Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.

How do I choose between Colorbond and polypropylene?

Colorbond is fire-resistant and ideal for high-risk industrial settings; polypropylene is lighter, more affordable, and works well in climate-controlled office or retail environments. Both are durable and fade-resistant.

Do you offer bulk pricing for multiple fire alarm signs?

Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.

Can I order custom sizes or layouts?

Our standard range covers 225×300 mm to 600×900 mm. For non-standard dimensions or bespoke designs, please contact our team with your specifications and we'll provide a quote.
