Description
Use this static green EXIT sign to identify a doorway, gate or final exit point where the route is already clear and an arrow would add no useful direction. The large uppercase legend is designed for quick recognition at close and medium viewing distances in workplaces, warehouses, offices, shops, amenities, back-of-house areas and managed sites. This product is a printed identification sign, not an electrical exit luminaire and not a photoluminescent sign. That distinction matters in buildings where an exit sign is required by the National Construction Code. NCC 2022 E4D8 requires a required exit sign to comply with AS/NZS 2293.1, or with NCC Specification 25 for a photoluminescent exit sign. Confirm the required system, location and viewing arrangement with the responsible building practitioner, fire-safety professional or certifier before ordering for a regulated building application. Choose 300 × 225 mm for a compact door or close-range location, 450 × 300 mm for a more prominent general-purpose sign, or 600 × 450 mm for a larger viewing area. Polypropylene is preselected as the standard rigid option. Self-adhesive vinyl suits a clean, smooth surface; Corflute is suited to temporary placement; and Colorbond steel provides a durable rigid face for mechanically fixed installations. Install the complete legend where it remains visible on the normal approach and is not concealed by an open door, shelving, stored goods or temporary equipment. Use an arrowed or pictogram-based exit sign when people must turn or follow a route before reaching the exit. The site emergency plan should also show emergency exits and the route occupants are expected to follow.

How should the EXIT sign be positioned?
Place the sign where the complete legend can be seen on approach and is not obscured when the door is open. Do not use a no-arrow sign where the route is ambiguous. Required exit-sign systems also have visibility, operation and placement requirements that must be checked separately.
