Description
AS 1319 compliant danger sign for 132kV transmission installations at major substations and high-voltage tower corridors. Provides clear, unambiguous hazard communication to personnel working near or accessing transmission infrastructure. Offered in colorbond, polypropylene, and aluminium, available in 300×450 mm, 450×600 mm, and 600×900 mm formats. Reflective Class 1 and Class 2 finishes improve visibility in low-light or remote locations. Pre-drilled mounting holes accelerate installation. Platinum Signs delivers Australia-wide with trade-friendly pricing on multi-unit orders. Choose the material and finish that matches your site's environmental demands and visibility requirements.
Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

Available materials
| Material | Specification |
|---|---|
| Colorbond Steel (0.6mm) | Rigid coated sheet steel suited to demanding indoor and outdoor installations. Print life depends on finish, exposure, edges and mounting. Indicative service life: Long-term substrate; print and site conditions apply. Typical use: Permanent installations, harsh environments. |
| Polypropylene (1.6mm) | Rigid plastic sheet suited to indoor and sheltered or general outdoor applications, subject to the print finish and site exposure. Indicative service life: Medium-term use; site conditions apply. Typical use: Warehouses, factories, permanent indoor/outdoor. |
| Aluminium (1.6mm) | Rigid aluminium sheet suited to long-term signage where corrosion resistance and dimensional stability matter. Indicative service life: Long-term substrate; print and site conditions apply. Typical use: Permanent outdoor installations and high-durability sites. |

Frequently asked
Why is 132kV considered extra-high voltage?
132kV is part of the transmission grid backbone, carrying bulk power across regions. The hazard distance and energy release are significantly greater than distribution voltages.
Do reflective signs need maintenance?
Reflective grades provide different visibility performance. Choose the grade required by the project specification and site conditions, and confirm any road, traffic or high-risk requirement with the relevant authority before ordering.
What size sign do I need for a large transmission corridor?
Available sizes are 300 x 450mm (Medium), 450 x 600mm (Large), 600 x 900mm (Extra Large). Viewing-distance notes are a practical selection aid, not a substitute for checking the approach distance, lighting, mounting position, wording and site risk assessment.
Are volume discounts available for multiple substations?
Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
