Danger Forklift Operating Area Type B Sign

Description

Type B forklift danger signs mark restricted or high-speed vehicle zones where only trained operators are permitted. This AS 1319 compliant design uses the red header and white danger text to signal elevated risk in busy logistics, manufacturing, and construction environments where pedestrian exclusion is critical. Manufactured in corflute, polypropylene, Colorbond steel, and vinyl across four standard sizes (225×300 mm to 600×900 mm). Upgrade with mounting holes, lamination, or reflective finishes for maximum visibility and longevity. Trade accounts and bulk orders qualify for volume discounts; Australia-wide delivery included.

Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

    Frequently asked

When should I use Type B instead of Type A?

Type B designates high-speed or restricted-access forklift zones where unauthorised personnel must not enter. Use Type A for general mixed-traffic areas.

Do I need multiple signs around a large yard?

Yes, AS 1319 requires danger signs at every entry point to the hazard zone. Plan for one sign per entry and consider additional signage at 15–20 metre intervals in large areas.

What is the typical lifespan of a polypropylene sign?

Polypropylene lasts 3–5 years outdoors without lamination, and 5–7 years with lamination. Colorbond steel can last 10+ years in most climates.

Can signs be installed on chain-link fencing?

Yes, use cable ties or zip ties through pre-drilled holes, or apply self-adhesive vinyl directly to the mesh. Ensure the sign is taut and visible from both sides if needed.

Do you offer emergency replacement for damaged signs?

Trade customers with standing orders can request expedited replacement shipments. Contact our support team with your account number for priority processing.
