Danger Anhydrous Ammonia Sign

Description

Warn workers of anhydrous ammonia risks with a sign that meets AS 1319 danger-level standards. The red header and white 'DANGER' text deliver an unmistakable alert to anyone approaching the hazard zone. Available in corflute, polypropylene, Colorbond steel, or vinyl across four standard sizes (225×300 mm to 600×900 mm). Add lamination for UV and moisture protection, or reflective Class 1/2 film for visibility in low-light or outdoor settings. Pre-drilled mounting holes are optional. Platinum Signs supplies trade accounts with bulk discounts and Australia-wide delivery. Contact us for custom sizes, volume pricing, or advice on material selection for your site.

Final sign type, wording, size, placement and material depend on the site risk, project specification and applicable jurisdiction. Confirm the requirement with the relevant WHS adviser or regulator.

    Frequently asked

Why use a dedicated anhydrous ammonia sign instead of a generic chemical hazard sign?

Specific hazard signs reinforce the exact danger and emergency response needed. Anhydrous ammonia poses unique risks (extreme cold, rapid evaporation, inhalation), so a dedicated sign is clearer and more effective.

Which material is best for outdoor ammonia storage?

Colorbond steel offers maximum durability in harsh weather and resists corrosion from ammonia vapour. Polypropylene is a lighter, cost-effective alternative with good chemical resistance.

Should I laminate a sign in a refrigerated facility?

Yes. Lamination prevents condensation from damaging the print and keeps the sign readable in cold, high-humidity conditions. Reflective film is also useful in low-light cold rooms.

How many signs do I need for a large storage facility?

Place one sign at each entry point to the hazard zone, plus additional signs if the area is large or has multiple work stations. We can advise on placement during consultation.

Do you offer a discount for ordering 20+ signs?

Automatic volume pricing is 5–9 signs: 8% off, 10–24 signs: 15% off, 25–49 signs: 24% off, 50–99 signs: 32% off, 100+ signs: 40% off. The configurator is the source of truth and updates the unit price as quantity changes.
